President Asif Ali Zardari Saturday strongly condemned the killings in Quetta and termed it a "heinous act". The president said that certain elements are trying to create a wedge amongst different segments of the society, however, people of Pakistan with the help of the government would foil all such attempts.
He asked the provincial authorities to take all measures for the arrest of the perpetrators so that they may be awarded strict punishment under the law of the land. Zardari also directed the authorities to provide best possible treatment to the injured. He also prayed to Allah Almighty to bless the departed souls and give courage to the families of those who lost their loved ones in the incidents.
