The Consul General of Switzerland in Karachi, Didier Boschung, hosted a reception to mark the 720th national day of Swiss Confederation. An announcement on Sunday said that this year the Swiss Consulate General had also organised a poster competition to celebrate the event. The participants were talented young students of Karachi University and Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture.
At the reception a Swiss musician Franz Keller, who plays the traditional Swiss instrument 'Alphorn', impressed the gathering with his music.
The Swiss companies operating in Pakistan and some local representatives of Swiss companies had put up their stalls to participate in the celebration.
The Swiss Consul General in Karachi, Didier Boschung, in his brief welcome address thanked the companies and guests for making the celebration a success.
