SSGC to supply 200mmcfd gas to KESC during Ramazan

Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) will supply 200mmcfd gas to Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) during the holy month of Ramazan subject to an agreed payment plan, the company sources said. During a meeting at Sindh Governor House on July 30, 2011, both the companies worked out an agreement in the presence of Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan and Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr Asim Hussain.
As per the agreement, the SSGC is currently supplying 180mmcfd gas to KESC. "As directive by the Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan and Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr Asim Hussain the SSGC will supply 200mmcfd gas to KESC during Ramazan, to provide relief to Karachiites from long spells of load shedding, subject to an agreed payment plan", the gas utility said.
