A delegation of the College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) in a meeting with Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti apprised him about College's residency programme that is providing standard medical education in all four provinces.
Led by College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan President, Professor Zafar Ullah Chaudhry, the delegation comprising Professor Khalid Masood Gondal, Vice President, Professor Tariq Mehmood Khan, Vice President, Professor Shereen Zulfiqar Bhutta, Treasurer, Professor Mumtaz Ali Marwat, Regional Director, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Professor Naimat Ullah Kundi, Professor Muhammad Shoaib Shafi and Professor Abdul Sattar Memon apprised Ameer Haider Hoti about the services rendered by College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) in the province and the country.
Professor Zafar Ullah Chaudhry thanked the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for co-operation in resolving the problems of young doctors. He demanded raise in salaries of trainee doctors like other provinces. Professor Zafar Ullah Chaudhry told KP CM that with the initiation of residency programme CPSP is providing standardised structured training equally. He also invited the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to the Golden Jubilee Celebrations to be held this year.
The Chief Minister appreciated the services of CPSP in postgraduate medical education. He thanked the CPSP for recognising Bacha Khan Medical College, Saidu Medical College and Gomal Medical College for residency programme and assured every kind of patronage in future.
Professor Zafar Ullah Chaudhry during his visit to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa inaugurated the newly built regional center in Abbottabad and extension project of provincial center at Peshawar. President College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) said that new centres would be built in Larkana, Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalpur with all latest facilities.-PR
