The Karachi Port handled 77,383 tonnes of cargo including 40,715 tonnes of import cargo, 36,668 tonnes of export cargo and 5,666 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 40,715 tonnes comprised of 38,665 tonnes of containerised cargo and 2,050 tonnes of rock phosphate.
The total export cargo of 36,668 tonnes comprised of 34,439 tonnes of containerised cargo; 858 tonnes of general cargo; 671 tonnes of cement and 700 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Three ships namely New Activity, Atlantic Frontier and Bon Vent carrying two oil tankers and ethanol ship respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Three vessels viz Positano, Emirates Wasi and OOCL Charleston carrying three container ships respectively are currently at the berths. Two ships namely Green Line and Emirates Wasi with cement carrier and container ship respectively are expected to sail on Saturday, while three ships namely CSL Ride, Kota Arif and Lodestar Genesis with two container ships and chemicals carrier are expected to sail on Sunday.
A power ship namely Karadeniz Enis is expected to sail on Monday Three vessels viz Sky Dream, Alliance Beaumont and Seafarer carrying chemicals carrier, vehicles carrier and sulphur ship respectively due to arrive on Saturday, while eight vessels viz MT Karachi, Alpine Alaska, CSC Risingsun, APL Ruby, Iron Bunker-5, Vinalines Sky, Wilma and Baltic Cruiser carrying crude oil tanker, LSFO tanker, naphtha ship, container ship, bunker, coal carrier, project cargo ship and talcum powder carrier respectively are due to arrive on Sunday. Two vessels viz MT Lahore and STX Patriakos with crude oil tanker and container ship respectively are due to arrive on Monday.

PORT QASIM
A cargo volume of 127,665 tonnes, comprising 75,908 tonnes of import cargo and 51,757 tonnes of export cargo inclusive 4,707 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours on Saturday.
The total import cargo of 75,908 tonnes includes 18,460 tonnes of furnace oil; 13,108 tonnes of diesel oil; 7,900 tonnes of palm oil; 1,905 tonnes of fertiliser; 10,429 tonnes of phosphoric acid and 24,106 tonnes of containerised cargo The total export cargo of 51,757 tonnes includes 649 tonnes of corn; 686 tonnes of cement and 50,422 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Four ships namely CV RHL Fiducia, CV Glory, MT Ginga Bobcat and MT Al-Salam-II sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. A total number of twelve vessels MV Alexi-I, MV Alaska-II, MV Hai Yu, CV RHL Fiducia, CV Glory, MT Rio Eider, MV MSC Jade, MV Pago, MT Al-Salam-II, MT Th Symphony, MT Green Park, MT Ginga Bobcat and MV New Sun are currently occupying berths to load/offload cement, corn, containers, diesel oil, furnace oil, phosphoric acid, palm oil and fertiliser respectively during last 24 hours.
Four ships namely MSC Magali, New Delhi Express, Tycon-II and Fair Spirit a carrying containers, cement and furnace oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of two vessels viz CV New Delhi Express and CV MSC Magali carrying containers are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal on Saturday.
