The supplementary exams of Matric under Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education would start from 24th September. Chairman Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dr Muhammad Ashraf said that the results of several Matric students were stopped because there was lot of mistakes in their admission forms but their forms are being rectified.
He said there is no fault on part of the board for delay of result of Matric students as there were mistakes in admission forms of as many as 1,200 students who committed errors while submitting on-line forms but their result would also be announced during the current week.
Dr Muhammad Ashraf said the candidates could submit admission forms within next eight days. He said so far there is no final date for the results of ninth, intermediate part one and two exams while it will be announced within next few days.
Chairman Board clarifying the situation said that there was no fault on part of the board administration regarding delay of Matric result as nearly 1,200 student who submitted admission forms through on-line system had made some mistakes. A number of students could not give required data properly; some wrote wrong code numbers besides some made mistakes in selection of subjects in which they wanted to appear.
The mistakes were on part of the students not board staff he said adding, but, "We are trying to rectify the mistakes of the students and their result will be announced within shortest possible time so that their precious year could be saved." The results would be announced within current week, he added.
Appreciating the efforts of the board staff he said, all out efforts were made to prepare accurate results of the exams but, if any error on part of the board staff is proved then we will not only apologise to the students but their fee will also be returned.
He claimed that the forthcoming result of the ninth class will completely be transparent whereas the results of Intermediate part-one and two will not only be error free but also announced within prescribed timeframe.
He said as the new on-line system was introduced first time and the students had no experience in this regard that is why some mistakes were done by them but, the mistakes ratio in Intermediate admission forms as compared to Matric forms was less.
It is pertinent to mention here that students across the Rawalpindi division including Jhelum district, Chakwal district and Attock district are visiting board offices to know their results which are still pending while, the board administration has set up special counters to resolve the issues of the students.
The students are criticising the performance of the board staff saying, their results were delayed without any solid reason. They alleged that owing to the fault of on-line system they were marked absent in some papers in which they appeared.
The students urged the authorities to take notice of the situation and solid steps should also be taken to remove flaws of the system so that their precious time and money could be saved.
