Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has called upon all the political forces to get united for pulling the country out of the prevailing crises. The prime minister expressed these views while addressing the National Assembly during the celebration of Independence Day during its regular sessions as per the tradition.
He said that the nation was boldly facing the challenge of terrorism in the country, but only the government or one party could not meet this challenge. For this purpose, all the political parties should join hands and sit together to face the challenge, he underlined.
The prime minister said, "It is our first priority and duty to protect the gift given by Quaid Muhammad Ali Jinnah in the form of a country. We should move forward following the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah." The prime minister paid glowing tribute to Quaid-e-Azam. He also paid tributes to Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Shaheed and said that Bhutto Shaheed had given constitution to the people of Pakistan.
