Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) staff on Friday observed a partial strike from 11am to 12pm at all offices across the country. According to the Federal Revenue Alliance Employees Union, workers in the Regional Tax Office held a protest demonstration against the freezing of workers allowance and asked the government to pay their dues.
Various groups of employees took part in the strike. Mian Abdul Qayyoum, President of Federal Revenue Alliance, addressing the employees of Income Tax and Customs, urged high-ups to release the allowance or a complete strike would be observed throughout Pakistan.
