Winter attraction: Niagara Falls freezes after record shattering arctic cold
The famous Niagara Falls has frozen in parts, giving a spectacular view to the tourists. The bitter cold snap sweeping much of the USA, where the wind chill factor has dropped as low as -89°F (a staggering -67°C).
While it made picturesque scenes in such places as Niagara Falls - the collection of three waterfalls which straddle the border between the USA in the state of New York and Canada in the province of Ontario - it brought record cold to some spots.
