Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani met with a seven-member delegation of lawyers and handed over them cheques as financial assistance for Multan and Bahawalpur bars here on Sunday.
Soon after his arrival at the airport here, the Prime Minister met with a delegation of lawyers comprising President of High Court Bar Association Multan (HCBAM) Chaudhry Sagheer Ahmad, President of High Court Bar Association Bahawalpur (HCBAB) Mohammad Sharif Bhatti, President of District Bar Association Bahawalpur Mohammad Naveed Ur Rehman, former HCBAM president Habibullah Shakir, general secretary HCBAM Usman Khosa, general secretary HCBAB A.R Aurangzeb, and general secretary District Bar Association Bahawalpur Mohammad Amir Channar. The Prime Minister handed over a Rs 20 million cheque to HCBAM president as financial assistance to High Court Bar Multan and Rs 5 million cheque each to the president of Bahawalpur District Bar and the president of Bahawalpur High Court Bar Association.
