A total of 3143 terrorists have been arrested and 4240 weapons seized during the last three years. According to documents available with Business Recorder, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is at the top of the list in terms of arrests of terrorists.
The report reveals that as many as 2103 terrorists were held in KP, 343 in Balochistan, 231 in Punjab, 145 in Sindh, 130 in Islamabad, 106 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 80 outlaws have been arrested during the last three years. A total of 3554 hand carried arms were seized in Balochistan, 431 in KP, 150 in Sindh, 55 in Punjab, 15 in Islamabad, 27 in Gilgit Baltistan and 8 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir during the last three years. Province-wise details of amounts recovered from the terrorists is as follows: Rs 0.5 million from KP, Rs 1,310 Balochistan, while no amount was recovered from other provinces.
