On the directives of Professor Dr Naushad Ahmed Shaikh, Vice Chancellor of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) Jamshoro, the free medical camps were organised in rain-affected areas of Mirpurkhas, Jhudo and Kot Mir Jan Muhammad.
The university spokesman informed here on Wednesday that medical experts conducted clinical examinations of around 3,000 rain affected people, vaccinated against different diseases and also provided free of cost medicines to them. The spokesman informed that eight free medical camps had so far been organised by LUMHS medical teams in different rain affected areas of Badin, Tharparkar and Mirpurkhas districts.
These medical camps having 11 doctors and 40 university students are providing medical treatment to rain-affected people under supervision of Professor Hussain Bux Kolachi, Chairman, LUMHS Department of Community Medicines. Professor Hussain Bux Kolachi advised the people of rain-affected areas to use boiled water with chlorine to avoid themselves from water borne diseases and also use Nimkol to save their children from Diarrhea.
