"So the MQM-PPP rapprochement is a done deal and MQM has announced that it is returning as a coalition partner but in phases then why have the killings, especially in a PPP stronghold not stopped?"

"Maybe, but then if Lyari is the target, a PPP stronghold, and the police, controlled by the PPP is a silent spectator then isn't the President worried that his party may actually lose the seat in the next elections?"
"I don't think he feels that the people of Lyari have any other option - who would they vote for? Whether true or false the Lyari people believe they are being attacked by militia wings of other political parties."
