Election petition against PML-N MNA adjourned

The Lahore High Court acting as election tribunal adjourned till August 24 the proceedings in an election petition filed against PML-N MNA Javed Latif as petitioner's counsel did not appear before the court. The petitioner a rival candidate Malik Mushtaq of PPP has challenged the election of Javed Latif for possessing fake degree.
The petitioner contended that the respondent has secured his BA degree from Alkhair University which is not affiliated with Higher Education Commission. The petitioner therefore prayed to the court to declare him return candidate.
