Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visit families of riot victims

Britain's Prince William, and his wife, Catherine, Friday visited the relatives of three Asian men who lost their lives during violent rioting in the city of Birmingham last week, St James' Palace said. Haroon Jahan, 21, and brothers Shazad Ali, 30, and Abdul Musavir, 31, who were "deliberately" struck by a car in the city while trying to protect property, were buried following a service attended by 20,000 mourners on Thursday.
William, and his wife, the former Kate Middleton, spent 15 minutes in a private meeting with the parents. "The Duke and Duchess are full of admiration for the dignity shown by the families in dealing with such losses," said a palace spokesman. Tariq Jahan, the father of the youngest victim, has been widely praised for making a call for calm in the city shortly after his son's death. Seven men have been arrested in connection with the incident, of whom four have been charged with murder.
