The martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali (RA), the fourth caliph, will be observed on Monday (today) with due reverence and respect. In the provincial metropolis, a number of religious organisations will hold seminar and symposia in which glowing tributes will be paid to Hazrat Ali (RA).
A Tazia procession will be taken out from Mubarik Haveli chowk Nawaz Saheb, which after passing through Mochi Gate, Bazar Hakiman, Paniwala Talab, Rang Mehal, and Bhatti Chowk will culminate at Karbala Gamay Shah near Lower Mall at Iftar.
Heavy contingent of police will escort the procession to avoid any untoward incident. All shops on the route of the procession will remain closed throughout the day.
Several Shia organisations will also held Majlis e Aza in various Imambargahs of the city to pay homage to Hazrat Ali (RA). Meanwhile, the district administration have made foolproof security arrangements to avoid any untoward incident.
