Pakistan desires to hold cordial relation with all Central Asian States (CAS) particularly Uzbekistan so that trade volume between both the countries can be increased, cordial relation and friendship can be further strengthen.
This was stated by Senator Haji Ghulam Ali, President of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and Vice President of Islamic Chambers in a meeting with Uzbekistan's Ambassador in Pakistan, Oybek Arif Usmanov held here on Sunday.
During the discussion, Uzbekistan Ambassador, Oybek Arif Usmanov, on behalf of Uzbekistan's government, invited a Pakistan's high powered business community delegation, under the leadership of Senator Haji Ghulam Ali, to visit Uzbekistan and said that his country offers vast opportunities and liberal incentive packages for investment in Uzbekistan in a variety of fields particularly in textiles, energy, pharmaceutical, leather etc.
Oybek Arif Usmanov, Uzbek Ambassador said, it is in his utmost desire that an official delegation of Pakistan's business community should visit Uzbekistan to utilise the real trade and investment potential existing between Pakistan and Uzbekistan to the mutual benefit of both the countries so that cordial relations between both the countries are further strengthened.
He disclosed that itenary of finalised, visit of Pakistani delegation to Uzbekistan has already been prepared, according to which the delegation would hold meetings with Uzbekistan's Prime Minister, Ministers, high government officials and members of Business Community of different sectors.
Senator Ghulam Ali expressed his gratitude and thanked Uzbekistan Government and Ambassador for taking interest in promotion of bilateral trade, enhancing economic co-operation and further strengthening of cordial relation between both the countries and said that the FPCCI in consultation and co-operation with Trade Development Authority (TDAP) would constitute a high powered delegation and visit Uzbekistan in next month.
He hoped that a joint trade delegation of Pakistan's business Community and the TDAP visit would go a long way in further strengthening of Pak-Uzbekistan cordial relation and significantly enhancing trade volume between both the countries from the existing level.
FPCCI President added that Pakistan desires to hold cordial relation with all Central Asian States (CAS) particularly Uzbekistan so that trade volume between both the countries is increased, cordial relation and friendship is further strengthened and trade and investment is promoted.
FPCCI President informed that the government of Pakistan is extending all its support and co-operation for this purpose. He hoped that during the proposed visit of the FPCCI delegation, various joint ventures for investment would be finalised and MoU would be signed for promotion of trade and investment in both the countries.
