In Indian occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference has announced to observe the last Friday of Ramazan (Jumat-ul-Wida) as Youm-e-Kashmir and Youm-e-Qudus to draw the world attention to issues of Kashmir and Palestine.
The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar said that its Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, would throw a detailed light on these issues at Jamia Masjid Srinagar, on the day, while other Hurriyet leaders would also speak on the issues at different shrines, Masjids and Imambargahs, KMS reported.
"A resolution prepared by the APHC will also be adopted and passed by the people at these places," it added. Meanwhile, the APHC has expressed sorrow over the killing of a woman and injuring of a civilian during a clash between Mujahideen and Indian troops in Hafruda area of Handwara. The APHC spokesman expressed apprehension that the woman was killed while being used as a human shield by the troops during the clash.
