'Constant monitoring of uplift projects should be ensured'

Minister Agriculture and Irrigation Punjab Malik Ahmed Ali has instructed the high ups of Irrigation Department for timely completion of annual development projects. He was presiding over a review meeting of annual development projects here on Thursday. Secretary Irrigation Irfan Ilahi and Chief Engineers of Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Research and Development zones also attended the meeting.
Malik Ahmad Ali said that constant monitoring of the projects should be ensured and no compromise be made regarding the standard and quality of the projects. During meeting it was informed that by now work on 63 schemes is being carried out while out of released Rs 4,876 million so far, Rs 371 million have been utilised.
