Three persons including a woman were killed in separate incidents at various parts of the metropolis here on Friday. According to police, a bullet-riddled body of a man was found near Denso Hall in the limits of Kharadar police station. The victim was identified as Shakeel son of Hayat, a resident of Lyari. Police said the victim who received single bullet in his head was kidnapped and then tortured and murdered.
They said the victim was a rickshaw driver and had been missing for last four days. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for legal formalities and later handed over to his family. Police said the victim who hailed from Punjab had no political affiliation. A case was registered against unidentified men on the complaint of the State and initiated probe.
A 23-year-old boy was crushed to death near Fishery in the limits of Jackson police station. The victim Kamran son of Moosa, a resident of Zikri Mohalla Lyari, was hit by speedy truck when he was on his way to home from work. Resultantly, he died on the spot. His body was shifted to CHK and later handed over his family.
An elderly woman also lost her life in a road accident in the limits of Defence police station. The identity of the victim was yet to be ascertained. She was hit by a speedy vehicle while crossing the road of Akhter Colony. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for legal formalities and later moved to Edhi Morgue for identification.
