'Save Judiciary Committee' (SJC) took out a rally from High Court Bar premises to Lahore High Court main gate to express solidarity with Karachi people against target killing.
The rally, led by Chairman of SJC, Abdur Rashid Qureshi ,was attended by dozens of bar members. Qureshi while addressing the rally said political parties including MQM, ANP and PPP have their strongholds in Karachi and hence their leadership should sit around a table to evolve peace in Karachi. He said Karachi is the main hub of trade and industry and hence it's the duty of all political parties to perform their rule to bring peace and clam in Karachi. He said innocent people are being killed brutally. He said rulers instead of maintaining law order in Karachi striving for their power and go to all extend to keep the power rope in their hand.
He said government has failed to bring Karachi to its original status of an industrial and cultural city hence rulers should resign from the government. He demanded a government of national consensus to control the present Karachi situation.
