The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) in its meeting on Saturday recommended confirmation of services of six additional judges of Sindh High Court (SHC) Karachi. Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry presided over the meeting of the Commission where all members were present. The Commission recommended services of six additional judges of SHC.
They are Justice Shahid Anwar, Justice Ghulam Sarwar Korai, Justice Ahmed Ali Sheikh, Justice Irfan Saadat Khan,Justice Aqeel Ahmad Abbasi and Justice Munib Akhtar. After recommendation of all the six judges services, the case has been sent to Parliamentary Committee. The CJP is the highest forum in relation to the appointments in superior judiciary under the Amendment.
