A large number of female buyers Sunday thronged to "Women Entrepreneurs "Eid Gala" organised by Women Business Development Centre (WBDC), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for promotion of skilled women businesspersons' handicraft and development of their business.
The two-week long Eid Gala is going continued with massive female buyers response, while taking keen interest in variety of women entrepreneurs products displayed in the business activity, said Nabeela Farman, WBDC project Manager, while talking to exclusively to Business Recorder here at Centre. She said that the women business development activity would be very helpful to promote household women skilled work, especially brining access to local and international market as well.
More than, 30 stalls comprising on handmade artistic and embroidery work clothes, ladies hand bag, jewellery, bangles, Hina, decoration pieces, and other household stuffs were displayed in the two weeks long Eid Shopping Gala. Female visitors have appraised the skilled work of household women entrepreneurs and purchased different staff on the occasion.
Saima Batool, a visitor while talking to this scribe lauded the efforts of WBDC for organising such women business development activity and provision of opportunity to showcase their skilled work.
She added that the activity would helpful to women economic empowerment and gave them due status in the society. She said that the women have the potential and skill, especially hailing from rural area to compete both at national and international level.
Kiran Yousaf, supervisor WBDC displayed Centre, said that they had received a massive response from female buyers during last ten days of the exhibition, saying that the most of women businesspersons stuffs displayed in the stalls were sold out.
She said the women had visited from different parts of the province to get skilled work stuffs showcased in the women business development activity.
Nabeela Farman said they are very looking forward from the women business development event, which could be helpful for promotion of their skilled work and access to manufacturing stuffs to local market.
