Cantonment Board, Peshawar donated a 200 MA modern X-ray plant to TB Association for provision of better treatment facilities at Begum Sarfaraz TB and Chest Clinic, Gunj. In this connection, Medical Superintendent, Cantonment General Hospital, Peshawar, Dr Waqar Azam and district president TB Association, Dr Iqbal Safi signed a formal memorandum of understanding (MoU).
On this occasion, joint secretary TB Association, Dr Tufail Mohammad Khan and Child Specialist, Dr Syed Hakim Shah were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Iqbal Safi expressed gratitude to Station Commander, Peshawar and Executive Officer, Cantonment Board, whose services efforts better treatment facilities would be provided to the under treatment patients at the clinic. He said that 17,600 patients are registered with the clinic getting free treatment facilities. In light of such huge number of patients the existing X-ray facility was insufficient. The donation of the X-ray machine by the Cantonment Board, he said resolved long standing problem of the patients.
