Current spell of monsoon rain has raised the water level at Manchar lake to 112.10 feet (just 5 feet below its maximum capacity of 117 feet), district administration, Dadu said in an announcement here on Saturday. Water has already started overflowing from some weak points of its protective embankments.
Some villages of Union Council Bhan Saeedabad, have been inundated by flash flood water while, as precautionary measures, people living in catchment area of the lake have been asked to evacuate their dwellings.
