National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has devised a strategy to launch an anti-malaria campaign in flood-hit areas of Sindh, spokesman Irshad Bhatti said on Saturday.
Talking to APP here he said various assessment teams consisting of experts including those from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) and International Organisation for Migration (IOM) have already been dispatched to flood-hit areas to help the flood-hit people from contagious diseases. While 10,000 family tents sent last night will reach Sindh flood-hit areas on Saturday night. NDMA has ordered Utility Stores Corporation of Pakistan (USC) to provide additional 50,000 ration packs to marooned people.
