A Saudi company is offering to help betrothed young couples pay for their wedding by instalments, the firm announced Saturday. Experts say that a wedding in Saudi Arabia now costs around 200,000 Saudi riyals (around 53,000) dollars, which even in the oil-rich kingdom is beyond the purses of many.
"Many of our clients have recently opted for this system," manager Abeer Hassan told the Saudi newspaper Okaz. However, she added that under the instalment payment system, people invited to attend a wedding ceremony must not exceed 300.
