LG’s 4K projector can set up 150-inch cinema screen on your wall
Looks like LG is fully prepared to step up its game at CES 2018. Along with its 88-inch 8K TV, LG will also be demonstrating its first 4K UHD projector that can easily put up a 150-inch screen on anybody’s wall, providing a complete cinematic experience.
Not many days ago, LG revealed about showcasing world’s first 88-inch 8K TV. Now the company announced that it will disclose its 4K ultra-high definition (UHD) projector that is unlike most of the other projectors.
The model is named HU80KA and is a compact, upright and portable device that can produce a 150-inch screen on a wall. Its mirrorless I-shaped engine makes the projector portable enough that it can be either placed on the floor, mounted on a wall, or even hung from the ceiling, reported The Verge.

According to the company, this first UHD projector is a product of LG’s engineers that have been challenging themselves to create a 4K projector half the size of other competing 4K options in the market with no decrease in its performance. The company also said that the other 4K projectors are ‘heavy, expensive, and difficult to install’ whereas, the HU80KA is ‘affordable yet premium device’.
Moreover, the projector is also the brightest and supports HDR content making images more life-like. Talking about the audio of the device, it features two 7W speakers and can be connected to external speakers or soundbars via optical output, HDMI or Bluetooth.
Also, the projector has LG’s webOS 3.5 pre-installed that means there will be numerous apps and games including Netflix, YouTube, Google Play Movies and TV and more. With connectivity options like USB, external keyboard and mouse could also be attached to the device.
However, LG has not yet disclosed the pricing and availability of the device, as per Engadget.
