Mohammad Taimoor Shah, Director M/S Sarhad Textile Mills Limited, Gadoon, has been elected as Chairman All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA), Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, while Raza Kuli Khan Khattak, Chief Executive M/S Babri Cotton Mills Ltd, Kohat, has been elected Vice-Chairman. The election for the year 2011-12 of APTMA, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Region, was held here at APTMA House, Tehkal Payan, Jamrud Road, on Friday.
Those who have been elected members of the Zonal/Regional Managing Committee are Afan Aziz, Director, M/S A.J Textile Mills Ltd, Gadoon, Liaquat Ali Khan, Chief Executive, M/S Mezan Textile Mills Limited, Gadoon, Fazal-e-Subhan, G.M M/S ITHFZ Mills Limited, Gadoon and Rana Kaleemullah, Manager, M/S Saif Textile Mills Limited, Gadoon.
Osman Saifullah Khan, Chief Executive M/S Saif Textile Mills Limited, Gadoon, has been as member representative of the Zone/Region in the Central Executive Committee of APTMA. Speaking on the occasion, the newly-elected Chairman, APTMA, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Mohammad Taimoor Shah, thanked members for reposing confidence in him and expressed his resolve for resolution of the problems faced by the textile sector in the province.
He demanded of the provincial government to extend support to textile sector of the province like other provinces of the country. He demanded special incentives for textile units working in the province in the current situation. He said that the sector will continue provision of employment opportunities to alleviate poverty in the province.
