Scant business witnessed on grain market

Lean business was observed on the wholesale grain market on Monday as main buyers were reluctant in making new deals due to higher rates, dealers said. On the cereal side, makai retaining a stable trend for a long-time was quoted with a minor change at Rs 2250-2375, other items maintained their overnight levels, they said.
On the rice sector Irri-6 Sindh old was registered lower at Rs 3700-3750 and new type quoted down to Rs 3600-3650 due to slight fall in exports, they said. On the seed side cottonseed oilcake with bag low type fell by Rs 75 to Rs 1300 and superior quality was unchanged at Rs 1400 in process of trading, they said.
