ISLAMABAD: Senator of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Lt Gen (Retd) Abdul Qayyum Friday said Pakistan was facing different internal and external challenges and all political parties should be united to confront them.
Talking to a private news channel, he said it was a collective responsibility of all the political parties to play their due role for strengthening the country.
He said United States of America was responsible for its failure in Afghanistan and blaming Pakistan was totally unfair.
Replying to a question, he said PML-N was fully intact under the leadership of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and he had never used derogatory language against his opponents.
He said one should avoid bashing as it would not be in favour of anyone.
Some elements were trying to create hurdles in the senate elections, he added.
