Chinese Vice Prime Minister Hui Liangyu is arriving Islamabad on Monday on a two-day visit in the wake of Pakistan-US escalating tension, it was learnt. According to diplomatic sources, the Chinese vice premier would be accompanied by a high-level delegation to express their solidarity with Pakistan at this critical time.
Liangyu would meet senior military and political leadership of Pakistan and would discuss matters related to regional security, recent spate of US allegations, bilateral relations and other matters of mutual interest.
The source said that it was expected that the Chinese deputy premier would convey an 'important message' to the Pakistani military and political leaders on the behalf of Chinese leadership. President Asif Ali Zardari will host a banquet in his honour.
The Chinese premier is visiting the Pakistan at a time when Islamabad and Washington is in the war of words following serious accusation on Pakistan's security establishment by US military leadership.
