At the annual World Bank and IMF meetings 2011 currently underway in Washington, D.C, Global Finance presented banking awards to the top global banks at a ceremony attended by senior bank officials of prominent global banks. HBL was presented with the award of the Best Trade Finance Provider Pakistan.
The award was conferred on HBL in recognition of its achievements in product delivery and service quality in the markets where it operates. "We are extremely proud of the award that the bank has received. With our focus on core businesses and technology we will continue to strive for delivering superior customer services in all our core markets " said Sultan Ali Allana, Chairman HBL who is in Washington for the Annual World Bank / IMF meetings and to hold discussions with officials of IFC.
Nauman Dar, Head of HBL International and Corporate Banking also participated in the Annual Meetings. Faiq Sadiq, Head of HBL Payment Services accepted the award on behalf of the bank. HBL with its presence in 24 countries and an extensive coverage of key regional and international trade centres, is the largest branch network bank in Pakistan and is ranked as the largest private sector bank in terms of it's asset and capital. While the IIF conclusion sessions ended on a mixed note in lieu of the global financial crisis, particularly in the Euro Zone, this award marks HBL's strength and its resilience in maintaining a lead role in trade and payment services.-PR
