The World Education Congress Asia has awarded the University of Health Sciences (UHS) for being the best educational institute in healthcare. The award was received by UHS Controller of Examination Dr Junaid Sarfaraz Khan in a ceremony held in Dubai, UAE, on Monday.
The World Education Congress Asia also presented an award to UHS Vice Chancellor Professor M.H. Mubbashar for his outstanding contribution to education. The World Education Congress award is a prestigious award presented by Asian Confederation of Business, with CMO Asia as its strategic partner and Stars of the Industry Group as a research partner, a spokesman of the UHS said.
According to him, this award of highest stature is presented to top educational institutes and educationists of Asia which have surpassed several levels of excellence and set an example of being role model and exemplary leadership. UHS and its vice chancellor were selected from among the healthcare educational institutions of Singapore, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Philippines, Korea, Japan, China, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Oman, UAE and Nepal. The winners are selected by a global research cell on the basis of student perception and research activities. Around 80 medical colleges and dental institutions are affiliated with UHS and about 38,000 students are registered.
