The first multilateral conference 2011 is going to be held on October 20, 2011 in Karachi. This was announced by Saleem H Mandviwala, Chairman of the Board of Investment (BoI) along with Abdul Kader Jaffer, Chairman of Ahmad Jaffer and Company and Muhammad A Rajpar, Vice President of Pakistan-Belgium Business Forum, in BoI office here on Monday.
He said that the multilateral conference is a joint, private and government interaction where local and international business communities from Germany, Japan, Russia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Australia, France, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland and Pakistan would join hands and explore possibilities to create business activities.
The result of such an initiative is the existence of mutual advantages for all parties. The conference will revolve around working groups and focus on the following sectors: infrastructure, engineering, pharmaceuticals, mines & minerals and agriculture & farming.
He said this multilateral conference would bring buyers, exporters and investors together from different countries to form synergies and maximise efficient business contracts. This is the first time that all these stakeholders will gather at a single platform with the unified aim of enhancing investment and trade in Pakistan, he added.
