Sluggish business seen on grain market

Sluggish business was witnessed on the wholesale grain market on Tuesday due to low buying interest, dealers said. On the grams side guwar Sindh and Punjab rose by Rs 100 to Rs 6800-6900, other items retained the overnight levels in process of trading, they said.
On the rice sector Basmati broken low type lost Rs 1400 to Rs 5000 and best type shed Rs 500 to Rs 6000, falling trend in the export and less demand by consumers caused decline in the prices, they said. On the seed side cottonseed oilcakes with bag Sindh low type was unchanged at Rs 1100 and the good type was lower by Rs 50 to Rs 1200, they said.
