An Election Tribunal (ET) of the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday dismissed an application for non-prosecution seeking restoration of an election petition against PML-N Pervaiz Malik, MNA from NA-123. The petition was filed by Rana Naek Muhammad seeking disqualification of Malik Pervez as member of the National Assembly on the ground that he had rigged the election.
The petitioner prayed to the court to declare the respondent disqualified to the hold the membership in the parliament. Despite calls no one appeared to plead for the petitioner and court dismissed the petition.
