Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here Friday said that male and female students have played an active role in the campaign regarding eradication of dengue virus and appreciated the efforts made by them for creating awareness among the masses regarding dengue virus and its preventive measures.
He said this while addressing the youth that took part in the campaign against dengue in the Punjab Assembly. Addressing the function, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that young generation is the guarantee of bright future of Pakistan and the key of progress and prosperity of the country is in its hand. He believed that they will play their effective role for making the country strong.
He said that the country at present is facing numerous problems and internal and external threats. He said that besides other segments of the society, the youth will also have to come forward to save Pakistan and rid the country of dishonest and incompetent leadership.
He said that the youth should play their role for spreading the message of reformation of society to every home. He said that dengue virus has badly affected Punjab particularly Lahore but Punjab government devised a comprehensive strategy for controlling this virus and machinery and medicines were immediately imported by air. He said that blood test fee in laboratories was fixed and provision of free medical facilities to the patients in government, private and charity hospitals were ensured.
The CM disclosed that the long-term policy for eradication of dengue virus is in final stages and hoped that this virus will not continue for a long time. On this occasion, the chief minister inaugurated the page of Facebook by pressing the computer button. Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan and Member National Assembly & Convenor Youth Mobilisation Committee, Khawaja Saad Rafique also addressed the function.
