Governor Punjab Sardar Latif Khosa has said that Chief Minister Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif may be asked to take vote of confidence from the provincial assembly, Aaj News reported. Talking to the media persons on Saturday, the governor said that a petition was pending before the Supreme Court of Pakistan against the chief minister of Punjab and the verdict was awaited.
Khosa claimed that Shahbaz was neither a member of provincial assembly nor a constitutional chief minister of the province, adding that Shahbaz did not have simple majority in the house. Therefore, he may be asked to take vote of confidence from the assembly. Responding to the comments given by the governor Punjab, Provincial Law Minister, Rana Sanaullah said that no petition was pending against the chief minister Punjab. He severely criticised the governor and termed him incompetent lawyer.
