A meeting of District Core Committee was held under the chairmanship of DCO Naseem Sadiq here on Saturday at his committee room to review the Eidul Azha arrangements. The meeting was attended by DOC Chaudhry Munir Ahmad and core committee members Maulana Muhammad Yousaf Anwar, Haji Sh. Bashir Ahmad, Mufti Zia Madni, Sahibzada Zahid Mehmud Qasmir, Mehmud Alam Jatt, Syed Jafar Naqvi, Qari Afzal Qadri. Maulana Riaz Kharal, Sahibzada Arif Hussain Bukhari, Qari Hanif Bhatti and others.
The DCO appreciated co-operation and efforts of the core committee members for strengthening the religious harmony and maintaining the law and order situation in the district and said that the Eidul Azha arrangements would be further improved under the suggestions and opinion of the members.
He gave details of the Eidul Azha plans and informed that elaborated security arrangements would be ensured for peaceful observations of Eidul Azha. He told that 12 sales/purchase points had been established in the district for the sacrificial animals and necessary security and administrative measures have been taken to facilitate the citizens and cattle traders.
