Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) conducted a pre-entry test here on Sunday for admissions to 1,800 seats offered by the university's Jamshoro and Khairpur campuses. According to the university's spokesman, 10,600 students, including 3,000 girls, appeared in the test, which was conducted in Public School, Latifabad.
The university has offered admissions to 17 disciplines of engineering, technology and architecture. DCO Hyderabad Ahmed Baksh Narejo, DPO Hyderabad Pir Farid Jan Sarhaindi, Hesco's CEO Muzaffar Abbassi, Vice Chancellor MUET Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan Rajput, Pro VC Dr Muhammad Aslam Uqaili and Principal MUET's Engineering College, Khairpur Mirs, Mujeebuddin Memon visited the test center. Talking to media on the occasion, the vice chancellor expressed satisfaction over the conduct of the test.
He said the university pioneered in conduction the pre-admission tests, which it introduced in 1998. The results will be announced on October 25.
