President Asif Ali Zardari has condoled the death of veteran journalist Sheikh Ikram ul Haq who died in Madina Munawara (Saudi Arabia) the other day. In a condolence message to the family of Sheikh Ikram ul Haq, President Zardari paying rich tributes to him said that his life long contribution for the journalism would be remembered forever.
President Zardari prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude. Late Sheikh Ikram ul Haq started his career in journalism in 1948 by joining Dawn in Karachi as sub-editor. Later, he joined Pakistan Times and worked for the newspaper in Lahore and Rawalpindi. Later, he moved to Business Recorder as its Bureau Chief in Islamabad and worked in it for around 27 years.
