Pakistan and China have tremendous scope to work together for improving the lives of the poor segment of their population and to enhance mutual co-operation in the social sector. Both the countries can benefit from each other's experiences, especially in the area of vocational and technical training programme.
This consensus emerged on the occasion of a meeting of a delegation of China Cultural Heritage Foundation (CCHF) with Federal Minister and Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Farzana Raja. The Chinese delegation was led by Chairperson CCHF Madame Geng Ying while Secretary BISP Sher Khan along with other high level officials was also present, says a press release issued here on Friday.
Fazrana Raja informed the delegation that her recent visit to China proved highly successful, as she has signed various important MoUs with public and private sector organisations of China including CCHF with the objective of enhancing mutual co-operation in the social sector.
Madame Geng Ying, Chairperson CCHF said that her organisation is intending to launch a project in the area of vocational training for women and children, which will further strengthen partnership between BISP and CCHF. She said that her organisation is willing to impart training to women and children in various regions of Pakistan and they seek co-operation of BISP in this regard.-PR
