The people of Pakistan in general and Sindh in particular were in great shock when they came to know that President Asif Ali Zardari had sent two police officers and one bureaucrat (DCO) to Ghinwa Bhutto, residing in Al-Murtaza at Larkana to come to Naodero to pay respect to her late mother-in-law Begum Bhutto when her body was brought before her burial. As a matter of fact, it was not a good gesture. They were only seeking the arrival of her body at the Al-Murtaza where Shaheed Bhutto and Begum Bhutto had spent most of their time while in Larkana.
President Zardari was required to send Bilawal Bhutto Zardari over to Al-Murtaza to resolve family matters amicably in case he (President Zardari) himself was unwilling to go there at all. Further, Ghinwa Bhutto's complaint that they were not formally informed about the sad demise of Begum Bhutto and that they learnt about the tragedy only through a TV channel, was indeed shocking.
There would have been no harm if the body of Begum Bhutto was placed at Al-Murtaza for two to three hours under some mutually agreed arrangements. Sindh's senior minister Pir Mazhar's statement that Begum Bhutto had been mostly staying in Naodero was misleading.
