District Co-ordination Officer (DCO) Hyderabad Ahmad Bux Narejo has constituted a committee to review the legal status of the allotment of Bungalows & flats to the Government officers & directed the committee to recommend action against the persons who were illegally occupying the government bungalows/flats in Government Officers Residence Colony (GOR) so that same can be evacuated and allotted to the deserving government officers.
This, he directed while chairing a meeting about bungalows/flats of GOR colony at his main office Shahbaz Building on Saturday. Showing his displeasure on handing over possession of flats and bungalows to private persons by government employees even without informing the concerned allotting authority, Narejo strictly directed the committee to immediately prepare a list of the actual allottees who have been transferred from Hyderabad but still hold the possession of flats/bungalows.
He also directed the committee to visit the bungalows & flats and ascertain whether actual allottees are residing in flats/bungalows or not, and report the same to him within shortest possible time so that action could be taken against them.
He was informed in the meeting that most allottees don't pay the utility bills and huge dues have been piled up against them, on this DCO warned the concerned officers to clear their dues failing which the payment would be made from their own pocket/salary following other disciplinary action as well. DPO Pir Fareed Jan Sarhandi, EDO F&P Aijaz ul Hassan, DDO Co-ordination Moatasam Abbasi, DDO HRM Kiran Shaikh and others attended the meeting.
