A solo paintings exhibition of Karachi-based artist A S Rind opened on Saturday at the Revivers Galleria in Gulberg, will remain continued till November 14th. Rind has participated in more than 35 group shows in Pakistan and abroad. He has 9 solo shows to his credit since 1993. Solo paintings exhibition being held at the Revivers Galleria, is his first at this gallery and on the whole 10th solo show.
Rind draws inspiration from the poetry of Asadullah Khan Ghalib, Faiz Ahmad Faiz. Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony held on Saturday. The Governor Punjab along with Rind, owner and curator of the Revivers Galleria Sara Anjum, former LCCI President Mian Anjum Nisar, artists and the art-lovers took a round of the exhibition.
President Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Irfan Qaiser Shaikh and former LCCI President Mian Anjum Nisar, a large number of artists, art-lovers and collectors were present on the occasion. Rind said that he was very happy to be in the cultural capital of Pakistan for his another solo exhibition. He said that he had already exhibited his paintings twice in the city during last couple of years. He said those exhibitions were also solo shows like this one.
