An artist Ijaz Lohar has filed a petition before the Lahore High Court for release of financial grant announced by chief minister Punjab. The petitioner, through his counsel, submitted that the chief minister had seven months ago announced to give him Rs 50,000 for his medical treatment.
He said that Lahore DCO, when approached for the release of the grant, said the pay-order of grant money had been dispatched to Lohar's home address. The petitioner said seven months have been passed but he has not received any pay-order so far. He prayed to the court to direct the chief minister to ensure provision of the grant without further delay.
