Rural Circle Police on Wednesday nabbed two dacoits from the jurisdiction of Sihala police station. The dacoits were fleeing after looting gold ornaments, cash and mobile phones from a house in Sihala. A police spokesman said that gun-totting robbers stormed the house and made the inmates hostage at gun point. The robbers snatched cash, mobile phones, gold ornaments worth Rs 248,300 and tried to flee.
Police chased the fleeing dacoits and nabbed two while the third one managed to escape. Police recovered two 30 bore pistols and 14 rounds from their possession. Meanwhile, police also apprehended two persons each having a 30 bore pistol. Police raided a illegal weapon shop in Ganagal and recovered four pistols, three 12 bore guns, carbine, 12 bore, 32 bore revolver and nine magazines from their possession. Police have registered cases under sections AO 13, 20/65 and further investigation is under way.
