The Karachi Port handled 103,269 tonnes of cargo comprising 88,489 tonnes of import cargo and 14,780 tonnes of export cargo including 3,135 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Friday. The total import cargo of 88,489 tonnes comprised of 17,303 tonnes of containerised cargo; 4,273 tonnes of bulk cargo: 158 tonnes of DAP; 4,115 tonnes of rock phosphate and 66,913 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 14,780 tonnes comprised of 14,232 tonnes of containerised cargo; 210 tonnes of general cargo and 338 tonnes of cement. Three ships namely Hermis, Cap Graham and C Ballad carrying container ships and bulk cargo ship respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Four vessels viz Cap Graham, Al-Ihsaa, Rivertec and MT Karachi carrying container ships, bulk cargo ship and crude oil tanker respectively are currently at the berths. Two ships namely MT Lahore and Al-Ihsaa carrying crude oil tanker and container ship expected to sail on Friday, while another ship namely MT Karachi with crude oil tanker is expected to sail on Saturday.
Four vessels viz Genmar Compatriot, BW Shinano, YM Eternity and EGS Tide carrying mogas ship, carbon black carrier, container ship and DAP carrier respectively due to arrive on Friday, while eight vessels viz Wan Hai-605, OEL Shreyas, Manuela, Haugaard Scan, Lodestar Genesis, Shoko Maru, Eastern Power and Jin Zhou Hai carrying container ships, MEG carrier, ethanol ship, coal carrier and steel ship respectively are due to arrive on Saturday.

PORT QASIM
A cargo volume of 120,754 tonnes, comprising 104,872 tonnes of import cargo and 15,882 tonnes of export cargo inclusive 2,224 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) was handled at Port Qasim during last 24 hours on Friday.
The total import cargo of 104,872 tonnes includes 46,767 tonnes of furnace oil; 10,500 tonnes of palm oil; 18,741 tonnes of canola seeds; 9,477 tonnes of chemicals and 19,387 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo includes 15,882 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Two ships namely CV Nora Maersk and MT Bow Lima sailed out to sea on Friday morning, while two more ships namely CV Pisti and MT Sea Sky are expected to sail on the same day afternoon. A total number of six vessels CV Nora Maersk, CV Pisti, MV STX Vivo, MT Bow Lima, MT Sea Sky and MT North Contender are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, canola seeds, palm oil, chemicals and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Four ships namely Hurst Point, Kiran Africa, Chemroad Journey and Stolt Sun with containers, sunflower seeds and palm oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of three vessels viz CV Dubai Express, CV Hurst Point and MT Chemroad Journey carrying containers and palm oil respectively are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Friday.
Two ships namely MT Al-Khalidia and MT Leonora with furnace oil and LPG are due to arrive on Friday, while two container vessels viz CV Maersk Wisconsin and CV Lady Bug are due to arrive on Saturday. As many as nine vessels viz CV MSC Natalia, CV MSC Anafi, CV Al-Mirqab, CV CMA CGM Bellini, CV Izumo, CV Maersk Kolkata, MT Quetta, MT Olympic Serenity and MV Bunga Aural with containers, furnace oil and vegetable oil are also due to arrive at Port Qasim.
