Zubair felicitates FATA people on passage of FATA reforms bill

KARACHI: Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair has felicitated the people of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) on the passage of the FATA reforms bill from the National Assembly.

In a statement here on Saturday, he said that with the extension of jurisdiction of Supreme Court and Peshawar High Court, it would help enable the availability of constitutional rights to FATA people.

The Governor said that with the passage of this bill, the longstanding demand of people of FATA for inclusion in the national mainstream, would be fulfilled.

He further pointed out that the repeal of decades-old Frontier Crime Regulations, would be a historic step.

Zubair also congratulated the members of the National Assembly on the passage of the FATA reforms bill.
